Last Call for Sale-A-Bration

Welcome to the Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop for March 2018. This month our theme is Last Call for Sale-a-Bration!  You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – Ellen Downs – StampingwithEllen.com or may have come from the person previous to me on the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects

We have two more weeks of Sale-A-Bration and we are featuring products from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog. You have two more weeks to make a $50 purchase from the Occasions Catalog to get an item from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog for FREE. As of March 31st, the items in the Sale-A-Bration are gone forever.

Today I am featuring the Beautiful Peacock stamp set. You may have passed over this stamp set but these images have quite a few possibilites.

I used the Double Time Technique to make this card. You put the small Wisteria Wonder cardstock on top of the large Wisteria Wonder cardstock. You put a dab of adhesive on the back of the small piece of cardstock and center it over the large piece of cardstock. The adhesive is used to hold the pieces together for stamping. You stamp the Peacock images and sentiment on the cards as if you were working with one large piece of cardstock. You can even go off the edge if you like.

You take off the small piece of Wisteria Wonder cardstock and glue it to the small piece of Elegant Eggplant cardstock. You then glue these to the large piece of Wisteria Wonder cardstock, matching them to the stamped images on the small piece of Wisteria Wonder. These are glued to the card base made of Elegant Eggplant.

Card Base 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2 ” (folded in half)

Wisteria Wonder Cuts :   4″ x  5-1/4″       3″ x  4-1/4″

Elegant Eggplant Cut:      3 1/4″ x 4-1/2″

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don’t want to miss. Remember that currently, you are on my blog – Ellen Downs-www.stampingwithellen.com so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next on the list. –

Remarkably Created Blog Hop – Celebrating Easter

 Ellen Downs – www.StampingwithEllen.com

Welcome to our Remarkably Created Blog Hop. This is National Craft Month and today we are celebrating Easter.

One of my favorite Embossing folders is the Basket embossing folder from the Blossoming Basket Bundle ( 147505) in the Stampin’ Up’s Sale-A-Bration’s 2nd edition catalog for this year. Sale-A-Bration ends March 31st, so now is the time to do your last minute shopping.

I punched a hole in Very Vanilla cardstock (101650) using the large Layering Label framelit (141706). Then I added some definition to the Basket  embossing folder by using a brayer (141714) to lay down some crumb cake stamping ink (126975) to the inside of the embossing folder on the side that has the Stampin’ Up logo on the bottom of the folder. I then run the Very Vanilla cardstock through the Big Shot die cutting machine (143623).

Next I ran the cross from the Cross of Hope Framelit Dies ( 145654) through the Big Shot. I stamped the cross with a Versamark ink pad (102283), covered it with Gold embossing power (109129) and used the heat tool (129053) to make it shine.

Using Versamark again, I stamped the Hold on to Hope (145780)  sentiment on to a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock. Using the heating tool I heat it until it became shiny. Then I stamped the little butterfly on each side of the sentient using Elegant Eggplant ink (126969). Next I glued the sentiment to the bottom of the card,

I stamped the floral branch from the Hold on to hope stamp set to Whisper White cardstock  (100730) using the Garden Green stamp pad (126973). I ran the branch through the Big Shot.  I glued the cross in the layering oval and placed the floral branches on each side of the cross using Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430).

I made a card base from Crumb cake cardstock (120953) and glued the Very Vanilla cardstock to the Crumb Cake card base. And there you have it!

I hope you enjoyed my blog. I enjoyed doing it. Look at some other blogs from the names in the list below:
